In the heart of Western Europe lies Saarbrücken, Germany—a fascinating region that has seen Roman occupation, major bombings in both the First and Second World Wars, attempts at independence from greater Germany and yet, through it all, has retained its reputation for precision craftsmanship. It’s here that Norbert Woll founded Norbert Woll GmbH in 1979, driven by the desire he had, as a passionate cook, to have better cookware in his own kitchen. He began to develop his own cookware, and he did so without sparing any expense or effort. For example, he had freshly cast blanks shipped from Sauerland to Switzerland – because the specialists in Valais were simply the best when it came to sealing. A business economist would probably have shaken their head in despair – Norbert Woll only cared about the quality of his pans. Since then, this proud family-owned, family-run company has remained true to its heritage, combining artisanal handcraft with cutting-edge technology.
Since 1997, André Woll has been managing the company together with his mother Ursula – with the same quality demand on products and production. In order to be able to maximise the potential of the company in Saarland, a brand new factory was built. Here, every single article is conceived, developed, designed and produced by an inhouse team and entirely Made in Germany.
